I’m a big fan of inspirational quotes from some history’s most prolific people. And I’m fortunate to have been personally mentored by some of today’s best motivational speakers, trainers and philosophers.
Throughout my quest for bettering myself as an individual, I’ve had the honor of meeting, learning from and interacting with billionaires, celebrities, famous philosophers and research writers, best selling authors and members of royal families. Some of the most inspiring quotes I’ve ever heard have been said to me in person by some of these people.

I’d like to share a couple of my personal favorites right here and tell you why I like them. You may have heard them before, and if so, I hope you might be able to look at them in a new light.
It always helps to see things from another person’s perspective. It can give you powerful insights!
Of all profound quotes I’ve ever heard, this next one has been my favorite since first hearing it back in high school from my football coach:
My favorite of all inspiring quotes:
“It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”
This quote makes me feel empowered and proud to take on my challenges and achieve my goals and dreams. It makes me feel good about participating in the game of life…to savor the ups and downs. It makes me smile in the face of adversity and be glad to be human.
Even now after years of knowing it, I still feel great when reading that quote.
Another one of my favorite inspiring quotes comes from Michael Jordan. I feel that he is the greatest basketball player who ever lived and one of his most famous quotes really hits home for me.
One of my favorite inspirational sayings ever:
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Those are the words of a true champion! I was in high school during the peak of his career and I’ll never forget the first time I saw him play. He epitomizes determination and perseverance. That is why his quote above is one of my favorites.
Another great spirit of recent history is Albert Einstein. Einstein’s profound understanding on reality reshaped the world as we know it. His famous equation E=MC2 laid the foundation for all modern technology, telecommunications, computer, internet and philosophy in general.
The height of his career was during World War II and he saw first hand how ignorance can oppose powerful new concepts and ideas. He has many wonderful quotes, but one of his most popular inspirational quotes, and my personal favorites is:
“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”
I think that sums up the whole World War II era. How blessed our world was to have Einstein during that pivotal time in human history.
There are countless inspirational sayings, quotes and philosophies from many people throughout history. I recommend finding a few of your own personal favorites and committing them to memory.
